Engaging millennials with digital advertising
To engage a younger member base and showcase its unique ability to help members accomplish all of life’s milestones, DFCU Financial tapped Quell to research, develop and launch a fully integrated digital marketing campaign. Quell produced video, audio and mobile display ads to specifically target millennials within its branch locations, along with social ads and Google AdWords. The ad campaign, Ready, set, Live!, positions DFCU Financial as a financial partner that helps its members meet all of life’s financial milestones.

He also was instrumental in developing the highly successful Pure Michigan campaign. On game days, you'll find Joe wearing both green and white and maize and blue, having graduated from Michigan State University and The University of Michigan. He represents the mitten well.

Michigan Humane Society

Quell recently concluded its 20 Acts of Kindness initiative by donating funds to purchase anesthetic equipment for a second surgical suite at the Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care at the Michigan Humane Society. This additional suite will allow the Humane Society to provide proper medical treatment to thousands of animals a year in preparation for adoption.


Quell concluded its Acts of Kindness initiative by providing Christmas presents for a family in need during the holidays and giving away 20 gift cards to listeners of WDVD-FM.

Repositioning a 100-year-old company
 

DE-STA-CO faced a unique branding challenge: How does a 100-year-old company with multiple sub-brands unify its brand and establish a new market position? DE-STA-CO turned to Quell to shape its global brand and help solidify its message. Through extensive qualitative and quantitative market research, Quell developed an overarching global brand and identified a market position unique to DE-STA-CO. Quell is currently developing a new visual identity to reflect DE-STA-CO’s new market position.

 
 
 
 
11th hour product launch
 

Synergy Fabrication Innovations approached Quell to launch its new product — Safety Shift™ — in time for a quickly approaching trade show. Safety Shift™ is a simple and affordable tool that allows crews to set up and remove barrels on dangerous highways from the safety of their trucks.


In a very short turnaround, Quell developed a name and brand, created a website and produced a promotional video demonstrating the multiple benefits of the Safety Shift traffic management system.

 
 
 
 
Promoting Communications Excellence with IABC
 

Quell’s creative services were engaged to help promote the 2015 IABC Detroit Renaissance Awards and expand the entry base to include advertising, marketing, public relations and creative professionals. Quell developed the theme and graphics for “Work & Progress” to recognize the work that IABC Detroit members are doing throughout the Detroit community to revitalize and reestablish Detroit as a creative center.

 
Leadership in Action (LIA) Turns Executives into Brand Ambassadors
 
Quell’s LIA strategy transforms company leadership into brand ambassadors by positioning them with influential media and speaking in high-visibility venues. Quell provides speechwriting, interview training and media/presentation coaching to prepare executives to showcase the value of their brands.
 
 

Quell arranged for Nexteer Automotive president and COO Laurent Bresson to be interviewed by Just Auto and Automotive World during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)in January. Bresson discussed Nexteer’s growth, market trends, and future plans.

 
 

Quell landed Shiloh Industries President and CEO Ramzi Hermiz a spot in a live panel discussion with executives from auto suppliers at the NAIAS. The discussion, moderated by Autoline's John McElroy, was broadcast on the main floor and touched on many trending topics. Hermiz shared Shiloh's strategic transformation, as it now owns the position as a metal agnostic lightweighting supplier with advanced technologies and solutions to reduce vehicle weight. 

 
 

Quell secured Achates Power leaders a coveted speaking spot at the 2nd International Engine Congress in late February and the AUSA ILW Global Force Symposium and Exposition in March. Achates discussed its groundbreaking advancements in opposed-piston engine technology.

DFCU Financial makes headlines with custom media kits. To attract media attention for its record-breaking CASH BACK payout of $24 million to its loyal members, Quell designed and delivered custom press kits to area media. The kits were comprised of real moneybags, each packed with 24 PayDay candy bars — one for each million DFCU Financial paid out to its members. Resulting stories highlighting the payout were featured in many local and national publications, including dBusiness and the Oakland Press.

 
 

Broder & Sachse grows in Detroit. Propelled by recent commercial real estate and retail development, Broder & Sachse’s business is continuing to grow.  In January, Quell assisted Broder & Sachse in announcing the first retail client at The Albert in Capitol Park, Detroit Bikes. The story was featured in Crain’s Detroit Business, MLive and Detroit Free Press, among others. It is the flagship store for Detroit Bikes and opened to the public May 8.

 
 

Nexteer Automotive establishes Detroit headquarters. Nexteer Automotive announced it is establishing its global headquarters in the greater Detroit area. Quell secured media coverage in Crain’s Detroit Business, Automotive World and other key publications.

 
 

Achates Power reaches mainstream media. Quell developed a media primer to help Achates reach mainstream media with a tech-lite message. As a result, Achates was featured in a Wall Street Journal article on the future of the internal combustion engine.

 
 

Giffels Webster masters social media. Giffels Webster, one of Detroit’s premier civil engineering firms, is continuing to attract new clients with an active social media campaign that includes Facebook and LinkedIn.
